Telugu Cultural Association Of South Sweden (also referred to as TASS) is a non-profit organization founded on April 4, 2020 by Telugu people living in Almhult region of Sweden. TASS aims to preserve the cultural & ethnic values ​​of Andra Pradesh & Telangana states in India and provide a platform for the people living in an around Almhult, Sweden to learn and promote Telugu cultural heritage.

TASS Älmhult will provide needed help, social, informational and support services to the Almhult Telugu community in an effective and efficient manner.

Why do we need this committee

• To ease knowledge acquisition for new arrivals regarding various aspects of adaptation.
• Facilitate new arrivals with a possibility to contact when they are unsure about initial settlement issues.
• Provide relevant information for various section of members – New Arrivals, Families Awaiting kids, Families with kids, Families with special needs, Single MOM / DAD’s, Members aspiring to start business etc.

• Housing Tips / Information (Residence, Blocket, AndraHand.se various other portals)

• Information / How – Swedish driving license
• Indian stores and restaurants locations, service providers.
• Other relevant HOW, WHERE, WHEN information (Applying benefits, tax declaration etc.)

• (Monthly) Information meetings for (first time arrivals) with presentation and information sources for various activities specified in What section above.
• When needed (Quarterly) workshops for HOW / WHERE aspects driving license, stating new business, new rules regarding the Migration Agency, the insurance fund, etc whichever is applicable.
• Open forum for new arrivals to ask relevant questions and get information.
• A general guide for new arrivals with specific information relevant to ease of settling down with confidence.
• Reaching / spreading of TASS Älmhult website and having a single email contact
• Having pre-prepared presentations (to handle various meetings) documents, content, links ready which can be circulated or either posted on www.telugu.se
